Have you ever asked? .. Does God care about me? .. Does God hear me when I ask for His help? .. Why do I feel that God does not answer me? .. Is there a special way to pray? Who is Jesus? .. you have good questions – so where do you begin?
In the Book of Deuteronomy ( the fifth book of the Hebrew Bible, and of the Jewish Torah/Pentateuch ) .. you will find a number of references to the word “soul” .. and if you are the “captain” of your soul .. and you have “free will” .. and IF YOU CAN LOSE YOUR SOUL – the i’d say your soul is very important! King David said in Psalm 62:5 – ‘My soul, wait thou only upon God, for my expectation is from Him.’ .. And again in Deuteronomy – ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Love him with all your strength.’
Where can you find peace and rest for your soul? Drugs? Alcohol? Sex or Pornography? Gambling? Some other god or religion? lIn God alone there is rest for your soul – are you willing to try to discover the truth? Jesus Christ, is the One Who was, the One Who IS , and The One Who is to Come Again .. The Anointed One .. The Messiah .. the Fullness of God become man.
We as “Christians” accept the New Testament fact that “the Blood of Jesus” is the only means of by which any man can obtain salvation and that no man is “righteous” in and of himself and therefore only by .. and through “the Blood of Jesus” , The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world – He Alone paid the price for our sins on the cross of Calvary .. and through HIM ALONE can a man be saved. We as “Christians” believe that The Bible Is the “inerrant” Word Of God and is “incapable of being wrong” .. and that The Name of God .. and the Person of God is Forever! From Everlasting to Everlasting .. The Alpha and The Omega .. The Author and Finisher of Life ..
So maybe take a minute and ask yourself?? — WHY would Jesus die for me and my sins? .. why? Because He LOVES US, and although we cannot begin to comprehend God’s Love For Us – we accept it, we embrace it and we proclaim it! — IT IS A GIFT THAT WAS FREELY GIVEN .. but as with any gift – what good is it if you do not “accept it” ? .. OR If you get a gift and never unwrap it, never open it .. what good is that gift?
John 3:16 simply says – “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Want to look into the “character” of God? Who He Is? .. Then ntroduce yourself to the “Names of God” .. and invoke your thought processes to consider “Who God Is” .. through the meaning and revelations of His Name .. as used and revealed throughout scripture .. to HIS PEOPLE!
The Internet today is a “medium” for services: The Internet, sometimes called “the Net,” is a worldwide system of computer networks in which users at any one computer can, if they have permission, get information from any other computer (and sometimes talk directly to users at other computers). like Facebook, Twitter etal – Good, Evil, Fake, Realtime News and so much more – disciplines for living, email communication, comedy and laughter, reading books, answers to physical and medical issues, psychological help, business info, products and services to help you live better lives, information, social networking, communications, global resources, infinite shopping, a junk yard of trivia, relevant and irellavent data, history, gripes and complaints, digital bits with meaning, input, constant change and directions, information about sex, videos of war and victims of the violence, easy-to-read e-books, pornography, information on drugs, taboo subjects, Women’s issues, diversity of all kinds, the size of your ecological footprint, information on cars, price checking, consumer input, air and travel info, and everything else one can imagine. TV shows and movies, anonymous thoughts, education, literature, academic publishing you can’t find in schools and libraries, federal info, political and racial bias, campaign issues and details, sports and news information on ancient Egypt, societies of ancient Greece, the ancients, UFO’s, the ingenious yet brutal Roman Empire, pirates and warriors, traders and colonists even India and every sort and kind of expertise and info on everything else .. YET THERE IS NOTHING NEW TO GOD .. “under the sun” ..
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.” .. In the Wisdom literature of the Bible we first hear the cool voice of a teacher calling us to think .. to think hard and humbly. Wisdom in the book of Proverbs – cries out – “How long will fools hate knowledge?” The Wisdom of Solomon to guide you and in Ecclesiastes the Preacher warns of the vanity of all life under the sun.
Who and .. What We Are
We are here to help you know God, Our Father and better understand more clearly that Our Father In Heaven is a “relational” God – He wants a relationship with you! He wants you to seek His Counsel by a better understanding of His Word in the Bible and He wants to reveal more about His “Character” through the Wisdom of His Holy Spirit and His Name as only God can “reveal” to you by the light of Who He Is
.. Abraham was 99 years old when Yahweh appeared to him and said, ‘I am El Shaddai’ .. Your All Sufficient God and other interpretive meanings of His Holy Name. Yet, until we come to the New Testament and see Jesus Christ for Who He Is ( The Son of The Most High God ) .. and believe and accept Jesus — we are quite lost in the world in which we live.
My purpose is to share with you what God has shared with me .. 27 “I leave my peace with you. I give my peace to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. Do not let your hearts be troubled. And do not be afraid.
Read what Jesus said to us .. to all those He Loves .. as it is discussed quite openly in the passage from John 14: 6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Our Goal
To help each visitor become more aware and to start to ASH GOD some questions .. like one of mine .. when Jesus went out to pray early in the morning before daybreak .. to WHOM was He communicating? … or what about — If The Son of Man went to a private place to speak with His Father In heaven .. Our Father in Heaven .. do you not think it wise to do the same? .. since HE taught us how?
If when asked by His closest friends .. Lord, Teach Us To Pray .. do you not feel compelled to learn what he meant when He spoke of Prayer ..
Prayer
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
9 “This, then, is how you should pray:
‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,
10 your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us today our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one’
14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
If the “Back Story” in human terms is a character’s history, including all of his or her life .. before the beginning of a story. Plain and to the point!
To my way of thinking then .. God had no beginning and has no end – He is The Alpha and the Omega .. please take all the time you need to understand what God is revealing in Psalm 91 .. please note that all emphasis and highlighting is by me .. Think about what I ask God to grant me .. EYES TO SEE AND EARS TO HEAR .. and Ears to See and Eyes to Hear – I don’t want to miss anything God has for me!
PSALM 91 - God’s Protection
If you live in the shelter of Elyon and make your home in the shadow of Shaddai, you can say to Yahweh, ‘My refuge, my fortress, my God in whom I trust!’
He rescues you from the snares of fowlers hoping to destroy you;
he covers you with his feathers,
and you find shelter underneath his wings.
You need not fear the terrors of night,
the arrow that flies in the daytime,
the plague that stalks in the dark,
the scourge that wreaks havoc in broad daylight.
Though a thousand fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
you yourself will remain unscathed,
with his faithfulness for shield and buckler.
You have only to look around
to see how the wicked are repaid,
you who can say, ‘Yahweh my refuge’,
and make Elyon your fortress.’
No disaster can overtake you,
no plague come near your tent:
he will put you in his angels’ charge
to guard you wherever you go.
They will support you on their hands
in case you hurt your foot against a stone;
you will tread on lion and adder,
trample on savage lions and dragons.
